Surgery

General surgeons use surgical procedures to treat illnesses and injuries of the abdominal organs, such as the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, bile ducts. They will also deal with diseases related to the skin, breast, soft tissue and hernias. Some general surgeons sub-specialize in areas such as colorectal surgery, breast surgery. trauma, etc. A vascular surgeon treats patients with diseases that affect the arteries, veins, and lymphatic systems.
